At our school, the Buddy System continues to go from strength to strength, creating meaningful connections between our youngest and oldest pupils.
For our P1 pupils, having a P7 buddy provides reassurance and a friendly face as they settle into school life. It helps them feel safe and supported, knowing someone is there to guide them through new experiences.
For our P7 pupils, the role of buddy is so special for them. They take pride in being role models, offering encouragement and sharing their knowledge with younger peers.
Together, these partnerships create a positive experience for them which they look forward to every week. Whether it’s reading together, playing games, or simply sharing a smile in the corridor, the Buddy System reminds us that learning and growing happen best when we support one another.
We are proud of the friendships being formed and the life skills being learned through this initiative. Long may it continue!
