Digital Leaders

A Digital Leader is a pupil who is part of a Digital Leaders Team within our school, whose role it is to support the use and further the development of technology.

Having been assembled through an application process and interview including a practical, the Digital Leaders will meet regularly with on-going training and support given to develop specific areas of technological expertise.

Typically, functions that may be performed by a Digital Leader include:

  • Give out iPads in class
  • Collect iPads at the end of the day and charge
  • Help other students during lessons that incorporate technology
  • Present to teachers/parents on the use of core or new apps on appropriate occasions
  • Test and review new iPad apps
  • Lead or assist in an iPad lunchtime or after school clubs
  • Solve troubleshooting issues

"Our mission as digital leaders is to empower our peers and teachers to confidently and creatively use technology to enhance their learning, teaching and communication. We strive to foster a safe, inclusive, and responsible digital environment where everyone can thrive and achieve their goals. We are committed to continuously learning and sharing our knowledge and skills, as well as advocating for the ethical and sustainable use of technology in our school and beyond."

Our school Digital Leaders also play an active role in promoting the importance of Internet safety. ‘Safer Internet Day’ is celebrated in February each year.
