Welcome to our school council

Our school council is a group of students who are elected by the student body to represent the views of all pupils and to help improve their school.  Our school Council comprises of 2 pupils from Primary 4 through to Primary 7.
What are the aims of the school council?
  • To make sure that our school is a safe and happy place for children.
  • To make sure that children have a place to voice their concerns.
  • To encourage all children in the school to suggest improvements.
  • To make sure any suggestions or concerns are listened to and acted upon. Each Month the school council meets, with Mrs Bradley - to voice, discuss, share and implement pupil’s ideas or concerns.

Changes made by our School Council:

  • Lobbied for a new pond area to increase the Key Stage 1 playground
  • New outdoor classroom, sensory garden and pond area
  • Early bird games & outdoor play during warmer weather
  • New toilet rules & break time and dinner time toilet passes
  • New library rules
  • New AR books chosen by our school council members
  • Sitting area in the playground
  • Balls for each class at break time
  • ICT suit
  • Annual Trócaire Christmas gifts 
  • New tarmac playground area for KS2 with catch nets
  • Play house for P1 & P2 ( arriving in 2020)
  • Outdoor classroom for P1 & P2 ( completion in 2020)
